A Budget Analyst is someone who works with the budget of the company where they are employed. They usually can be found in large organizations and are highly valued for their ability to help allocate their company's resources.

Budget Analysts usually enjoy a wide range of responsibilities. They evaluate and review budget proposals to ensure they are accurate, complete and in conformance with their organization's regulations and procedures.

Budget analysts also perform periodic reviews of their company's budget to ensure the plan is being followed, by evaluating reports and accounting records.

A bachelor's degree is usually a pre-requisite for most budget analyst positions. Budget analysts usually go on to attain their master's degree to boost their career, job duties and salary.
